Letter from the President

Welcome to the NC State chapter of Alpha Omega Epsilon! We are the Gamma chapter, and we’ve called NC State home since 1991. We are the only engineering sorority on campus, and our sisters come from a wide variety of engineering disciplines.

As an Associate Member of the Panhellenic Association at NC State, the Gamma Chapter participates with Fraternity and Sorority Life through sister sorority events, Homecoming, Circle of Sisterhood, etc.

We also do our own thing! Our philanthropy is Dress for Success (DFS), a charitable organization that helps empower underprivileged women by providing the skills and tools for career success; we have done professional clothing drives, sent volunteers to work in the storerooms, and fundraised for DFS. We focus our outreach activities on FIRST Robotics, a program designed to help students of all ages develop an interest in STEM before they reach college.

We are committed to making sure our sisters are workforce-ready, but not without having some fun. Some of our past events have included arm-knitting, orienteering, etiquette dinners, and (of course) painting canvases!

At the end of the day, our chapter’s mission is to support the women on this campus–be it Main or Centennial–to enjoy and succeed in their engineering fields.
